2017: AT Hike in honor of Yohan and generate awareness for the Yohan Abraham Foundation

Yohan's brother Stefan Abraham (and President of YAF) is undertaking a hike from Georgia to Maine on the Appalachian Trail. Yohan and Stefan planned to do this hike and this precipitated his decision to do it alone. Yohan will be there in spirit all the way. Stefan set out on Saturday April 15th on this gargantuan task. 

Enclosed is a link to some pictures we snapped at Springer mountain where the trail starts. Notice the shoes I (Paul Abraham) am wearing. They are Yohan's boots and I will wear them along parts of the trail where I join Stefan on his journey

2017: Computers for Smith County Scholars →

We are happy to announce that for 2017 we have procured and donated 40 notebooks to Smith County Board of Education. The notebooks will be made available to teachers for use in their curriculum in two mobile and lockable carts. One cart will be made available to Forks River Elementary School and the other will made available at The Smith County High School. The handoverwas done at a ceremony on April 4th at these schools. One of our directors was on hand for the presentation. We would especially like to thank Melinda Spivey and Cathy McNulty for there leadership and efforts in bringing this project to fruition. A local newspaper carried the event.

About Forks River Elementary & Middle School

The average number of students for elementary schools in Tennessee is 462, so Forks River Elementary is very small. The student to teacher ratio is 16:1, which is approximately the average for all US elementary schools (15.5) and significantly higher than the average for elementary schools in Tennessee (14.8).
